Baked Pixels

Cinema4D plug-in for asset optimizing, baking, and glTF export

Baked Pixels is a pipeline automation plugin for Cinema 4D, designed to transform complex 3D workflows into a seamless, optimized process. It automatically imports and organizes models and textures, generates materials, optimizes UV layouts, and bakes high-quality textures ready for real-time use and glTF export.

Developed as part of the PubliXR ecosystem, Baked Pixels connects directly with PubliXR.com, where users can create an account to download the plugin and publish their optimized 3D assets into interactive online experiences.

About This Website
This website is the central knowledge base for learning and working with the Baked Pixels plugin. All documentation, feature overviews, and workflow instructions are available under the drop-down menu, where each section is clearly categorized by function.

From importing and organizing models to optimizing UVs, baking textures, and exporting to glTF, every step of the workflow is explained in detail to help you get the most out of Baked Pixels.

For users who want to master the complete Baked Pixels and PubliXR workflow, we also offer a two-day professional training program.

System Requirements — Windows
Baked Pixels requires Cinema 4D 2025 or higher and runs on Windows systems with at least 32 GB of RAM for stable performance during high-resolution texture baking and large-scale UV operations. As the plugin is CPU-based, faster and more capable processors will significantly improve overall processing speed.

System Requirements — macOS
Baked Pixels requires Cinema 4D 2025 or higher and supports macOS systems with Apple Silicon (M1 and newer). The plugin operates entirely on the CPU, making processor speed and core count the main factors influencing performance. Faster CPUs result in noticeably shorter processing and baking times.

Installation
The Baked Pixels plugin can be installed like any other Cinema 4D plugin. Simply place the Baked Pixels folder into either the shared plugins directory or the local plugin folder of your specific Cinema 4D version.
After restarting Cinema 4D, the plugin will automatically appear in the Extensions menu and is ready for use.

Note for macOS users
On macOS, embedded plugin libraries may be blocked by system security. If Baked Pixels does not load, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and use “Allow” / “Open Anyway” for Cinema 4D or the blocked component, then restart Cinema 4D. If the issue persists, remove the download quarantine from the plugin folder using xattr
